PETALING JAYA – PKR never held any discussion to cooperate with UMNO or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) in conjunction with the 15th General Election (GE15).

However, the President of PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is ready to work with any party which are in tune with his party, especially in rejecting corruption, fighting for the good governance of the government and protecting the welfare of the people.

“The question about working with anyone was not raised at the moment although we know that we will be with people who support good governance, reject corruption, reject all forms of power abuse and take care of the welfare of the bumiputera and all races,” he said after launching the International Women’s Day Celebration at the Headquarters of PKR today.

Together with him at the launch were his wife cum the Chairperson of PKR Advisory Council Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and the Secretary-General of PKR, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution.

Recently, UMNO said that the party will no longer work with Bersatu during GE15 and Bersatu, in a statement, also said that UMNO’s decision has given a huge impact on the stability of Perikatan Nasional.

Meanwhile, Anwar said that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) is in a discussion of finalising the seats allocation for the general election.

“PH is discussing about the distribution of seats among this coalition first, before we consider other parties (which support PH),” he added. –MalaysiaGazette
