Covid-19: 61 deaths, 711 in ICU

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia recorded 61 cases of Covid-19 deaths today, the highest deaths to date.

With that, the number of Covid-19 patients who succumbed to the outbreak has increased to 2,309 cases, said the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

According to him, the highest number of admission into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was also recorded today, with 711 cases.

He said, there are currently 60,018 active cases in the country.

Nevertheless, Malaysia also recorded 3,452 of recoveries, shifting the total tally of Covid-19 patients recovering from the disease to 456,273 individuals.

Earlier, Noor Hisham twitted that 6,509 new Covid-19 cases were recorded today. From that amount, 6,489 were local infections, meanwhile, 20 cases were imported. –MalaysiaGazette
