KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Transport (MOT) cannot avoid from being sued by any victim of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) crash that took place on 24 May.

Its Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said that the demands, however, must be made according to the law of the country and the ministry is ready to face any demands.

“I think that Malaysia is a democratic country and realises that all actions can be taken according to the law, thus, we cannot avoid that.

“We will move forward. I leave this to Prasarana. This is common. Everyone has their rights.

“The same goes to this case. Anyone who plan to take any actions, we will move forward and we will follow the law,” he said during a news conference at the KLCC LRT Station at Avenue K today.
