SEBERANG PERAI – The owner of a chicken processing factory had torched his employee’s motorcycle after the employee left the car borrowed from his employer at the roadside when it broke down.
Acting based on the report lodged by the victim, the police arrested the 40-year-old suspect at Tasek Gelugor at 1.00 pm yesterday.
In the police report, the 35-year-old victim claimed that the motorcycle he left at the workplace was torched down by his employer.
The Seberang Perai Utara District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioenr Noorzainy Mohd Noor said, the victim knew about the incident after the suspect sent him a picture of the torched motorcycle last Tuesday.
“He suspected that the motorcycle he left behind due to minor damages was burnt down by his employer after the duo had a disagreement a day before the incident.
“Acting based on the report, we have arrested the suspect before seizing his handphone, a brown colour cloth with burnt marks, a lighter and a number plate of the torched motorcycle,” he said.
According to Noorzainy, based on their investigation, they found that the suspect was dissatisfied after the complainant used his car to meet a friend and when the fuel was depleted, he left his car by the roadside.
On the next day, the suspect and victim went back to the location of the car however, after refuelling, the car could not be started as it broke down.
“Dissatisfaction with the incident was believed to be the cause for the suspect to torch his employee’s motorcycle.
“The suspect also recorded the incident before sending the video to his worker,” said Noorzainy.
He said, the suspect’s mother and neighbour were also at the location when the suspect torched the motorcycle.
They tried to stop the suspect but they were ignored. The case is investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code. –MalaysiaGazette
