PUTRAJAYA – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has remanded four individuals including a civil servant from a ministry to assist in an investigation of a supply tender for an enforcement agency amounting to RM42 million.
All suspects aged between 32 and 61 have been remanded for six days beginning today.
The remand application was approved by Magistrate Shah Wira Abdul Halim at the Putrajaya Magistrate Court.
The detainees were arrested at around 10.00 pm last night at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.
According to a source, the suspects are believed to have requested and pay bribes amounting to five percent from the value of the project based on the progress claim to obtain the service tender to supply, process, print and post summons of an enforcement agency amounting to RM42 million.
They are investigated under Section 16 (a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009. –MalaysiaGazette
