Businesses need to provide valid documents to operate – KPDNHEP

KUALA LUMPUR – Businesses are reminded to provide valid approval documentation to operate during the inspection by enforcers from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP).

According to the ministry, actions will be taken against businesses and premises that do not comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) determined by the National Security Council (MKN) during the Second Phase of the Full Movement Control Order (MCO).

According to KPDNHEP, enforcers will evaluate the statement from the business owners and will make decision based on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act. 342).

“Actions will be taken based on the information and statement given by the business owners during the operation and after checking on the compliance for the MKN SOP and registration on the CIMS 3.0 system,” the ministry said in a statement today.

Besides that, the ministry also recommended that the business owners who are not satisfied with the action taken by the ministry, to refer to their nearest District Health Offices (PKD), Ministry of Health for further consideration.

Meanwhile, businesses that have yet to get their approval to operate may contact the ministry or get further information on their application at 03-88825881/5905 or email [email protected].

“Business owners may also contact the KPDNHEP Office in their state for assistance.

“KPDNHEP also advises all business owners to always refer to the Ministry’s website for the latest and valid information at www.kpdnhep.gov.my,” said KPDNHEP. –MalaysiaGazette
