Covid-19: Almost 7,000 new cases today

6,988 new Covid-19 positive cases were recorded today, compared to 6,276 cases yesterday

KUALA LUMPUR – 6,988 new Covid-19 positive cases were recorded today, compared to 6,276 cases yesterday.

Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, the cumulative number of cases of the outbreak in Malaysia has reached 758,967 cases.

According to him, Selangor continued to record the highest number of daily cases with 2,885 cases followed by the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (988), Negeri Sembilan (692) and Sarawak (544).

He said, Melaka recorded 311 cases, Johor (270), Kedah (250) and Sabah (232).

“Other states like Pahang recorded 195 cases, Penang (174), Perak (149) and the Federal Territory of Labuan (129).

“This is followed by Terengganu with 50 cases, Federal Territory of Putrajaya (10) and only one case in Perlis,” he said in his Facebook post today. –MalaysiaGazette
