Covid-19: 6,982 new cases, slight drop vs yesterday

KUALA LUMPUR – 6,982 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported today, a slight drop compared to the 6,988 cases recorded yesterday.

Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, the cumulative cases of the outbreak has now reached 765,949 cases.

According to him, Selangor continue to record the highest number of daily cases with 2,907 cases, followed by the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (637), Negeri Sembilan (606) and Johor (517) cases.

“Sarawak recorded 440 cases, Penang (351), Pahang (329), Kedah (257), Sabah (230), Melaka (202) and Perak 182.

“This is followed by the Federal Territory of Labuan (131), Terengganu (44), Putrajaya (20), meanwhile, Perlis did not record any Covid-19 cases,” he said in a Facebook post today. – MalaysiaGazette
