Lokman Adam found guilty, sentenced to 1 month in prison

KUALA LUMPUR – Former UMNO Supreme Council Member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam has been sentenced to one month in prison after he was found guilty for contempt of court by intimidating a witness for the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) case involving Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah delivered the verdict that Lokman had been in contempt of court after threatening the eight witness of the 1MDB case, Amhari Effendi Nazaruddin, who is also the former special officer to Najib.

The committal proceeding was instituted against Lokman by former Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas. –MalaysiaGazette
