KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia recorded a drop in Covid-19 positive cases today with 12,541 new infections after the country hit a new record of 13,215 cases yesterday.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that Selangor continued to be the largest contributor to the cases in the country with 5,512 new Covid-19 cases.
It is followed by Negeri Sembilan which recorded 1,619 new infections, Kuala Lumpur (1,542), Johor (609), Melaka (575), Kedah (458), Sarawak (423), Pahang (382) and Penang (376).
Meanwhile, Sabah recorded 326 cases, Perak (299), Kelantan (225), Terengganu (102), Putrajaya (62), Labuan (24) and Perlis (7), he said in a social media post today.
Dr Noor Hisham said, the increment shifted the cumulative tally of Covid-19 infections in the country to 893,323 cases. – MalaysiaGazette
