KUALA LUMPUR – The Members of Parliament (MPs) from the opposition held an assembly at Dataran Merdeka today following their disappointment of being denied from entering the Parliament building.

107 Opposition and Independent MPs, along with the Opposition Chief, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim were ordered to dismiss today.

Among the participants of the demonstration are the Chairman of Parti Pejuang Tanahair Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, President of Parti Amanah Negara Mohamad Sabu, Presidenr of Parti Warisan Sabah Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, Presidenr of Pejuang Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, President of Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and the Secretary-General of DAP Lim Guan Eng.

They marched from Dataran Merdeka towards the Dato’ Onn roundabout to enter Jalan Parlimen for the Dewan Rakyat sitting.

The march, however, came to a stop after a team of Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) held a roadblock.

Anwar, who is also the President of PKR’s negotiation with the Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah for the MPs to enter Dewan Rakyat was also futile.

They could not do anything else but to obey and accept the order and dismissed at 10.50 am. –MalaysiaGazette
