KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister alleged that certain quarters are displeased with his stand of not entertaining several demands to the extent that it has created a political crisis.
It includes, the demand for him to interfere with several court cases in order to release several individuals who are being charged at the court for criminal offences, said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
“I have also been accused of being disloyal to the King when everything I did was to protect the supremacy of the Constitution and to defend the Constitutional Monarchy Institution,” he said while delivering his special address today.
According to Muhyiddin, he will not sacrifice his principles and his oath to fulfil all duties honestly, be faithful to the King and the country and to protect and defend the Constitution.
Meanwhile, he added, the Cabinet Ministers and the government administration under him will continue to function and carry out their duties and responsibilities towards the people and the country, especially in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thus, he will ensure that the ongoing vaccination programme will not be interrupted and it will be on schedule.
The same goes with all the aids announced by the government, they will reach the people without any interference.
“I urge all civil servants, especially the frontliners to continue executing your duties and responsibilities patiently without any interruption from the political crisis that was purportedly created by certain quarters who are trying to benefit from the catastrophe,” he said, ending his special address. –MalaysiaGazette
