MUAR – Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is ready to face any possibility during the Dewan Rakyat sitting next month, to prove if he still commands the majority support of the Members of Parliament (MPs).
According to him, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has granted his consent for the Motion of Confidence at the Parliament on Muhyiddin.
“I have made the announcement several days ago and the discussion took place in a good and harmonious situation for almost an hour.
“We discussed many things, including if I have the sufficient number of support. I am confident that as of today, despite the announcements by certain quarters as if they don’t support me, they say one thing in front but another behind.
“This is political problems. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong was also confused and when he met me, he gave me many advices.
“Thus, I must face any decision. I am confident that I am not the problem to this issue. But, we must also think about the current situation, if the country can face political situation in such condition,” he said when asked to comment on the statement of UMNO President, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who questioned if he still has the majority and why would they need to wait until September for the Parliament to sit.
Therefore, Muhyiddin surrenders fully to the wisdom and consideration of the MPs on what they should do. –MalaysiaGazette
