TEMERLOH – Who would have thought that the Prime Minister wish of a young politician from Pahang would come true approximately 20 years later?

When he was the Temerloh UMNO Youth Chief, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob told his aunt that he wished to be the Prime Minister while chatting with her at her veranda at Kampung Paya Banir near Sungai Pahang.

His cousin, Zairani Mohamed, 53, said, when Ismail Sabri was asked about his ambition as a politician, that was the answer he gave to his uncle.

Family members who heard Ismail Sabri thought that it was a good prayer as he wanted to fight for the fates of the people.

“The incident which happened more than 20 years ago. His spirit and wish of becoming the Prime Minister has been realised.

“He was the Termerloh UMNO Youth Chief at that time when he had set his target to be the Prime Minister. We could see that he worked hard and serve from his heart and he became a Member of Parliament and a minister,” she told MalaysiaGazette.

Besides that, Ismail Sabri’s aunt, Embong Abd Rahman, 87, who used to babysit him when he was a kid said that he is a good and respectful man.

“He is a good kid. I babysat Datuk Seri Ismail when he was five years old and he respects old people. He is very good to all villagers,” she said.

According to him, Ismail Sabri is known as Pok Su Yie among the family members.

“I have always prayed for the success of Pok Su Yie in his political endeavour and InsyaAllah (God willing), he can rule well,” said Embong. –MalaysiaGazette
