KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali promised that he would continue to work for and serve the people and drive economic growth to ensure the welfare of the people in Selangor.
The Bukit Antarabangsa State Assemblyman (ADUN) thanked the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah who showed His Majesty’s concern towards the people in the state.
“I thank Tuanku for officiating the Opening Ceremony of the Fourth Term of 14th Selangor State Assembly Sitting 2021 today.
“His Majesty mentioned a lot about health, economic and political crisis, thus, showing His Majesty’s concern towards the people of Selangor.
“I will continue to work and serve the people and drive economic growth to ensure the welfare of the people in Selangor,” he said in a Facebook post.
Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah expressed his disappointment this morning on the rise of Covid-19 deaths and patients in the state.
According to His Majesty, the situation was caused by everyone’s negligence on the enforcement and compliance of SOP by the National Security Council (MKN) and the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The Sultan said, there was a lack in enforcement by the enforcers and the people took the SOP compliance lightly after several economic sectors were opened last May.
“I don’t want to point fingers on anyone for the rise of Covid-19 death and patients.
“When the night markets and Ramadan Bazaars were opened, people flocked to those places without caring for the need of physical distancing and wearing face masks.
“The same goes to the operation of factories where the employers have failed in providing strict SOP for their workers.
“Such negligence have caused the third wave to the extent that the infection rate and Covid-19 deaths increased sharply,” said the Sultan of Selangor during the Opening Ceremony of the Selangor State Assembly sitting. – MalaysiaGazette
