KUALA LUMPUR – Yang di-Pertuan Agong shared His Majesty’s experience of receiving hundreds of letters from the people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah said that those letters contained the pain and sorrows of the people who placed high hopes for a better future.
His Majesty decreed that the people hope for immediate change so that they can continue with their lives as it was.
“My country and people have been shackled by a dim future, fighting with health issues and economic depression. Too many of my people are affected by the pandemic. Too many of my people have lost their source of income.
“I would like to advise all of Your Honourable (YB) to never use the future of my country and people as your bet to achieve certain agenda.
“Therefore, I urge all of you to return your focus on fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and bring light to my people and country,” His Majesty decreed when officiating the First Meeting of the Fourth Term, 14th Parliament Sitting today. -MalaysiaGazette
