KUALA LUMPUR – The Member of Parliament (MP) of Lembah Pantai, Fahmi Fadzil questioned several new features after the new upgrade of the MySejahtera mobile application.
He said that many users of the application forgot to tap the check out button after leaving a premise.
According to him, the problem emerges as there is no reminder to complete the check in function of the Covid-19 management application.
Therefore, he urged the Ministry of Health (MOH) to explain about the matter and further enhance the application.
“For instance, many of us here entered the hall. We logged in but we did not log out. We were not given a reminder. It was as if some of us spent a night at the Parliament for not checking out.
“So, what can we really do? We don’t need to think about super apps but we should upgrade the existing application,” he said during the Dewan Rakyat sitting.
Earlier, Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar said that the MySejahtera application has been updated by displaying the vaccination status and risk of a person.
The new display would show if a person is fully vaccinated or not each time they scan the check in QR code.
Besides that, a check out button has also been added into the MySejahtera application to improve close contacts tracing.
Debating further, Fahmi also requested the MOH to explain about the technical glitch during the registration for AstraZeneca vaccine last May.
“Thus, I request the Minister of Health to answer on 23 September, please give an explanation. How much of the people’s money was used to develop that website?” he further questioned. -MalaysiaGazette
