208 died of Covid-19 yesterday

KUALA LUMPUR – 208 Covid-19 deaths have been recorded as of 12.00am this morning and 64 cases were Brought in Dead (BID).

Based on the data released by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in https://covidnow.moh.gov.my/, the cumulative Covid-19 deaths in Malaysia has now reached 26,143 cases.

The Klang Valley is still recording an increment of deaths, with 80 cases, followed by Johor and Penang with 30 deaths each, Sabah had 22 deaths while Kedah recorded 12 Covid-19 deaths.

Besides that, Kelantan recorded 9 deaths, Perak (8), Terengganu (7), 4 cases each in Pahang and Perlis while Sarawak recorded 2 deaths.

Meanwhile, the website also showed that there are currently 169,718 active cases in the country where 82.8 percent of them are under home quarantine. 11.2% are placed in the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres (PKRC) and 5.4% of the positive cases are admitted into hospitals nationwide.

“0.2 percent of the patients are being treated at the Intensive Care Unit, unventilated, meanwhile, 0.3 percent of the patients required respiratory support,” said COVIDNOW.

For the record, 240 Covid-19 deaths were recorded on 28 September. -MalaysiaGazette
