MELAKA – Former Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Idris Haron said that he was angry with the UMNO Liaison Committee Chairman, Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh and thus, withdrew his support to the state government.

He alleged that the leader has ruined the image of UMNO.

“The Chief Minister (Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali) is merely a puppet to the Melaka UMNO Liaison Committee Chairman,” he said in a news conference at a hotel today.

Idris however denied that that he was mad at the Chief Minister.

“I have no problem with Sulaiman, I have a problem with the Chief Minister who has become a puppet and needs to refer to others for decision.

“We have made decisions, but the decisions were not executed. This is meddling with the decision of the State Meeting Council,” he alleged.

Meanwhile, Idris also questioned Ab Rauf who announced that his position in UMNO has been dropped.

Idris said, Ab Rauf does not have the power to drop anyone as the decision can only be made by the Supreme Council of UMNO.

“I did not receive any feedback. Who is Ab Rauf? Who is he? Is he the President of the party? Perhaps, the UMNO Liaison Chairman has been given the power to sack members?” he quipped sarcastically.
