KUALA LUMPUR – Members of Parliament (MPs) are allowed to take off their face mask during their debate.
The permission is granted as there is no Covid-19 positive cases reported throughout the sitting since 16 days ago, the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun.
“Alhamdullilah, no positive cases were reported from the Parliament compound via the Antigen and PCR tests throughout our sitting.
“Based on such Risk Assessment, thus, the Ministry of Health thinks that face mask may be taken down during a debate at the Dewan Rakyat,” he said.
However, Azhar said that the MPs need to put on their mask immediately after they finish debating. -MalaysiaGazette
