KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 hospital admission rate in Selangor and Klang Valley has increased by 23 and 22 percent within the last seven days, said the Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.
Meanwhile, the hospital admission rate in Sarawak has increased by 16 percent.

Khairy shared the information in a Twit, along with the data extracted from COVIDNOW.
Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya also recorded an increment of hospital admission rate of 12 and 5 percent respectively.
However, the data also showed a 2 percent drop of Covid-19 admission rate nationwide with a total of 1,589 admissions for recent seven days average.
The highest admission rate is spotted in Sarawak with 442 cases, followed by the Klang Valley with 412 cases.
The biggest drop in the hospital admission rate was recorded in Pahang with 47 percent, followed by Perak with 46 percent.
Penang recorded 39 percent drop in admission rate followed by Perlis (-35%), Johor (-27%), Terengganu (-24%) and Negeri Sembilan (-24%).
Meanwhile, the hospital bed usage is at 67 percent of its nationwide capacity. -MalaysiaGazette
