KUALA LUMPUR – The senior citizen who stabbed a boy with a knife at the playground near the Jalan loke Yew flat yesterday evening has been arrested by the police.
The Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that the victim, who was stabbed in his tummy and thigh was reported to be in a stable condition.
According to him, the police received a report on the case at about 5.49 pm and upon arriving at the scene, the police were told that the victim had already been rushed to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital (HUKM) for treatment.
Meanwhile, the suspect who is in his 80’s has psychiatric record.
The case is investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means).
