KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the people must be careful with the unpredictable weather this month.
The Prime Minister said, according to the forecast by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the monsoon surge would happen from 27 until 29 December, where continuous rain is forecasted in East Sabah and West Sarawak.
He has instructed all relevant agencies to be on standby to face the second wave.
The security team has also been strategically placed at high-risk areas.
“The people are urged to be alert as strong winds and rough seas are also forecasted in the South China Sea, including the East Coast of the Peninsular from 26 until 29 December 2021.
“Let us be prepared to face any challenges and take heed from the experience earlier,” he said in his Facebook post. -MalaysiaGazette
