IPOH – The mystery of a man who has been missing for almost four months after being abducted by two men has been answered after his body was found in an oil palm estate at Bidor last Tuesday.
The police recovered the body of the murder victim on the same day after they arrested a 30 years-old suspect at the Dengkil Rest & Service area (R&R).
The Perak Police Chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said that the police received a report about the 29 years-old victim being abducted by two suspects on 3 October last year.
Investigation found that the victim worked in oil palm estate, and he was kidnapped on 13 September 2021 at a fishing pond located at Kapung Poh, Bidor while he was with the informant.
“Based on the police report, the two suspects attacked the victim with wood before they dragged him into a vehicle.
“The complainant was also threatened not to tell anyone about what happened before the suspects left the area,” he said in a media statement today.
According to Mior Faridalathrash, police investigation found that the tragedy happened due because the victim owed the suspects money.
Acting on police intelligence and information, they managed to track down one of the suspect involved and brought to the revelation that the victim has been murdered.
“The victim was buried in the oil palm estate at Bidor. The police found the body of the man wrapped in canvas based on the information provided by the suspect.
“The suspect is under four days remand until tomorrow to assist in the kidnap case under Section 365 of the Penal Code. The remand will be extended under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
“Autopsy on the victim will be conducted to identify the cause of death,” he added.
The case is investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. -MalaysiaGazette
