KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) conducted three raids today to investigate vital documents involving the officers of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA).
The raids were carried out at three separate locations at Jalan Mara, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and Jalan Bukit Bintang.
MalaysiaGazette was also informed that the Director-General of MARA, Datuk Azhar Abdul Manaf lodged a police report on the allegations of power abuse involving the agency.
More power abuse practices involving some officers from MARA and MARA Corporation (MARA Corp) could be revealed soon.
Earlier this morning, MalaysiaGazette reported that the MACC has started its investigation on the power abuse allegation implicating several senior officers from MARA following a series of social media exposé.
At the time of writing, the journalists from MalaysiaGazette are waiting outside the MARA Corp office at the 20th floor of the Primera Hotel. We were told that several MACC investigators are still in the building since this morning. -MalaysiaGazette
