KUALA LUMPUR – Former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad expressed his gratitude for his recovery and also confessed that he lost hope at times while seeking treatment at the National Heart’s Institute (IJN).
“I thank the people who prayed for my recovery. The secret is, I have recovered from what is to me, a very serious disease.
“Sometimes, I don’t wish to recover but alhamdullilah (praise Allah), with the treatment given by IJN, I have recovered,” said Dr Mahathir in his latest social media post.
According to him, he can now do many activities, almost like his previous state.
However, Dr Mahathir said that he is still not strong enough to work and he hopes that he will fully recover.
“At this moment, I can walk, I can eat, I can sleep, I can sit, I am almost as usual, but I am not that strong to work.
“But I hope that I can recover. Thank you,” he said.
Dr Mahathir Mohamad was allowed to discharge from IJN at 8.40 am four days ago.
The statesman was admitted into the hospital for medical treatment and was allowed to discharge to undergo rehabilitation at home. -MalaysiaGazette
