Covid-19 increases to 21,315 cases today

KUALA LUMPUR – 21,315 Covid-19 positive cases have been recorded today, an increment of 243 cases from 21,072 cases yesterday.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country has also increased to 3,061,550 cases.

The Covid-19 positive cases are on an increasing trend since 6 February, which recorded 10,089 cases.

The amount increased to 11,034 cases on 7 February and continued to rise to 13,944 cases (8 Feb), 17,134 cases (9 Feb), 19,090 cases (10 Feb), 20,939 (11 Feb) and 22,802 cases on 12 February.

Nevertheless, the cases dropped to 21,072 cases yesterday before recording another increment to 21,315 cases today.

According to him, from the number of new cases, 87 were under category 3, 4 and 5, meanwhile, 21,228 cases were in category 1 and 2.

According to the category breakdown, he said, there were 16 cases of Category 4, 23 cases of Category 4, 5,028 cases of Category 2 and 6,200 cases of Category 1. -MalaysiaGazette
