KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Health (MOH), had issued a compound to Lim Kit Siang.
Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar gave the explanation after the former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak questioned by Kit Siang was not fined after violating the standard operating procedures (SOP).
In the similar Tweet, Khairy Jamaluddin asked Najib to pay his fine after he violated the SOP during the Johor state election.
At the same time, he also urged the Member of Parliament of Pekan to accept four other compounds issued to him over the similar offence

“The compound has been issued to @limkitsiang. MOH also hopes that @NajibRazak will pay the compound issued during the Johor election that has not been settled.
“MOH also hopes that @NajibRazak will accept four other compounds sent to him through registered post, which his officer refused to accept earlier,” KJ Tweeted.
In his social media, Najib questioned why MOH did not fine Kit Siang for violating the SOP.
Kit Siang was hugging the party members and leaders of Pakatan Harapan during the DAP Congress last Sunday, where he announced his retirement.
Najib made that comment after Kit Siang and the President of PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who was the guest of the congress were infected by Covid-19.
He also tagged Khairy Jamaluddin in his comment for fining him several times over SOP violations.
“Why were the artists from Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) fined for hugging but the Ministry of Health (MOH) did not fine DAP?
“I don’t have ill intention but this gang loves to accuse me for violating SOP until Khairy Jamaluddin had to fine me many times.
“It would be best for the MPs from DAP who hugged Kit Siang yesterday to go for self-quarantine and don’t come to the Parliament. The whole House could be infected by them.
“However, I also pray for their safety,” he said in a Facebook post.
Earlier, Khairy said that the former Prime Minister was fined over SOP offences during the Johor state election campaign series.
Nevertheless, Khairy said that Najib’s officer refused to receive those compounds. -MalaysiaGazette
