KUALA LUMPUR – Former nasyid singer and composer, Yasin Sulaiman pleaded not guilty to growing 17 cannabis plants in his house at Kota Damansara on 21 March.

The 47-year-old man was charged at the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court this morning.

On 24 March, the police raided his house and found 17 cannabis plants in one of the room, balcony and closet of his house.

The police also found two plastic bags of compressed weed suspected to be cannabis weighed 415 grammes, pesticide liquid, PH metre, thermometer, lights, watering devices and ventilation devices in his house. -MalaysiaGazette
