KUALA LUMPUR – RM300 million have been allocated under Budget 2022 for two million youths via the e-cash initiative, ePemula.
Eligible youths will receive RM150 credit each via selected e-wallet service providers, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement today.
“The four e-wallet service providers selected for this programme are BigPay, GrabPay, ShopeePay and Touch ‘n Go,” said the statement.
Currently, the four e-Wallet service providers have a network of 1.2 million retailers.
SME businesses which have not registered to accept electronic or cashless payments are recommended to register with the e-wallet service providers to benefit from the ePemula programme which will kick-off in mid-April. -MalaysiGazette
