IPOH – A charred senior citizen was found after he set himself on fire using petrol in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Pakatan Jaya at Persiaran Bercham Timur today.
The Spokesperson of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department Operation room said, they received a distress call on the incident at 9.44 am before a team of firefighters were rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, we found a 74-year-old man who was suspected of torching himself using petrol.
Pihak bomba berjaya memadamkan api namun mangsa disahkan sudah meninggal dunia.
“The firefighters put out the fire before the medical officer confirmed that the victim has died,” he said.
He added, the body of the victim was surrendered to the police for further action. The operation completed at 11.15 am. -MalaysiaGazette
