PUTRAJAYA – Face mask is no longer mandatory when a person is outside a building.
Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar said that the face mask is only compulsory if an individual is inside a building or commuting in public transport, including e-hailing rides.
“The usage of face mask in open spaces and outside a building is optional, however, it is strongly encouraged as face masks can reduce the risk of infection,” he said during a news conference at the Ministry of Health (MOH) today.
The latest standard operating procedures (SOP) has been approved by the Cabinet in a meeting today.
Meanwhile, the MySejahtera check-in is no longer mandatory prior to entering a premise.
