KUALA LUMPUR – The police will be summoning the Founder of Rumah Bonda, Siti Bainun Ahd Razali to assist into the inquiry of a 10-month-old down syndrome baby, Adam Rizqi Abdul Azim’s death on 3 May 2020.

The Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah said that the police have opened an inquiry paper to determine any element of crime in the baby’s death.

“At the moment, we will record statements from several individuals involved in the case, including Siti Bainun.

“We should have recorded her statement several days ago but we decided to postpone the process as she was having a trial at the Jalan Duta Court,” he said when met today.

Siti Bainun is being trialled over the abuse and neglect of Down Syndrom girl, Bella.

Following Bella’s case, several Non-Government Organisations (NGO) urged the police to reopen the investigation on the death of Baby Adam as the baby was also under the care of Rumah Adam.

However, the police said, based on the result of autopsy, Baby Adam died of pneumonia.

On a relevant development, Ashari said that the police will also be summoning Cikgu Fadli who alleged in his social media that no post-mortem was conducted on the body of Baby Adam.

“We are tracking down the man who shared baseless accusations and speculations. We want to know where he got the information that no autopsy was conducted on Baby Adam after his death.

“The individual’s accusation in the social media created concerns among the public as if the police did not investigate Baby Adam’s death properly.

“The man made the statement in the social media. He should have checked with the police first and get the facts of the case,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
