PETALING JAYA – The Member of Parliament (MP) of Pasir Salak, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman alleged that he witnessed Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi leading the movement for UMNO MPs to support the President of PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the Prime Minister (PM).
He exposed the President of UMNO today because Zahid did not reveal the matter to the members of his party.
“I am a live witness. He asked to sign the letter of support for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the Prime Minister.
“He said no DAP, no Anwar but there was a SD (UMNO) of support for Anwar to the Palace. I was asked to sign.
“I didn’t want to at first but when he was displeased, I signed,” he said during a news conference at the Eastin Hotel today.
When asked about the leader of the movement to gather signatures for the statutory declaration (SD), Tajuddin clearly stated that it was led by Ahmad Zahid.
“Of course he led it,” he said.
He also named several other MPs who signed the SD including the Padang Rengas MP Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz and the Pekan MP, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
“Other Members of Parilament? I cannot remember Datuk Seri Hishammuddin, I also do not remember if KJ (signed the SD) or not,” he said. – MalaysiaGazette
