KUALA LUMPUR – The dethroned UMNO Supreme Council (MKT) member, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman will be holding a news conference about his termination this evening.
“Tajuddin will be holding a news conference at the Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya on the issues surrounding his termination,” said the invitation received by MalaysiaGazette today.
Earlier, MalaysiaGazette was told that the Pasir Salak Member of Parliament (MP) at the Riverside Restaurant at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
However, the location for the news conference has been shifted.
The Eastin Hotel is often cited for the meetings between the leadership of Pakatan Harapan (PH), such as from PKR.
In a statement, UMNO said that Tajuddin was dropped out from his position as the MKT so that he can focus on his job as the Ambassador to Indonesia.
According to the President of UMNO, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the decision to sack Tajuddin was the decision of the party and there was no room for appeal as the position was an appointed post. -MalaysiaGazette
