PETALING JAYA – The suspect involved in the Proton Waja incident, which rammed into two vehicles at the Sierramas traffic light junction in Sungai Buloh has been arrested in less than 24 hours.
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said that the 40-year-old criminal known as Bob Mah Sing was arrested at a house in Shah Alam in an operation launched by the PJ police after the chase yesterday.
According to him, the suspect is unemployed and has 20 various criminal records involving crime and drugs.
“The suspect is known as Bob Mah Sing. He was arrested in Shah Alam at about 11.45pm after he was hunted by the police for fleeing from an arrest,” he said in a statement this morning.
He added, the two suspects will be sent to the Petaling Jaya Court for remand order.
“The case is investigated under Section 307, 427 and 188 of the Penal Code, Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 6(1) of Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.
“We will strengthen our investigation on this case of the prosecution process,” he said.

At about 12.45pm yesterday, two policemen had to fire several shots at the tyre of the vehicle driven by the suspects after they refused to stop their car and cooperate with the police.
The car with registration number MAS 175 rammed into a lorry and a Perodua Myvi before escaping at the Sierramas round about.
After a chase, the police found the Waja car by the road side before arresting the first suspect, 35, at a housing area in Desa Aman after he ran into a bush nearby. –MalaysiaGazette
