Four arrested over commotion at Jalan Pahang

KUALA LUMPUR – Due to dissatisfaction, a motorcyclist blocked the way of a four-wheel-drive (4WD) before the misunderstanding brewed into a fight near the Pahang Roundabout.

The video of the incident turned viral showing a motorcyclist throwing his helmet onto the window of the 4WD before the driver came out of his vehicle with a machete.

The Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said that the police had arrested four men aged between 16 and 42 at several locations in the capital and opened an investigation on the incident.

“Early investigation found that the incident happened due to a misunderstanding after a motorcycle blocked a four-wheel-drive at Lorong Haji Hussin, Chow Kit,” he said in a statement today.

According to Mohamad Zainal, all detainees have been remanded for three days from 22 until 25 March.

The case is investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code (Act 574) for Possessing weapons or missiles at riot.

“Urine test on all detainees turned negative and the police would like to advise the public not to take actions on their own hands and obey the existing law.
