KUALA LUMPUR – 2,500 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported today with 18 new deaths, said Director-General of Health, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
With that, he said, the total tally of the disease has increased to 417,512 cases and 1,551 Covid-19 deaths.
According to him, Selangor continues to record the most number of daily cases with 637 cases.
This is followed by Kelantan (401), Sarawak (356), Johor (205), Kuala Lumpur (200) and Penang (194).
“Only two states did not record any increment of cases today, namely, Labuan and Perlis,” he said in a statement today.
At the same time, Noor Hisham said that nine new Covid-19 clusters were detected, thus, the country has 398 active clusters now.
Workplace and community recorded three clusters each, meanwhile, two other clusters involved the education sector and a detention centre.
“The new clusters were detected in Pahang, Melaka, Kedah, Selangor, Johor, Terengganu and Perak,” he said in a statement today. –MalaysiaGazette
