KUALA LUMPUR – The two Light Rail Transit (LRT) trains involved in the tunnel accident between the Kampung Baru LRT Station and KLCC LRT Station have been towed to the Subang Rapid Rail Complex early this morning.
The towing works were done two days after the disastrous incident that caused injuries to 213 passengers and six of them are still in a critical stage, currently under treatment at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
During the tragic event at 8.45 pm on 24 May, the two Kelana Jaya Route LRTs collided after a communication problem between a train without passenger on test drive and another LRT carrying 213 passengers.
The incident shocked the nation as it was the first in the history of LRT since its inception 23 years ago. –MalaysiaGazette
