KUALA LUMPUR – The number of new Covid-19 positive cases continued to rise after 8,290 cases were reported today, shifting the cumulative score of the disease that hit the country since February last year to 549,514 cases.
Selangor continued to record the highest number of cases with 2,052 cases, followed by Kelantan with 851 cases, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur 830 cases and Johor with 762 cases.
The other states which recorded more than 500 cases included Sarawak (698 cases), Kedah (544 cases) and Negeri Sembilan (520 cases).
Meanwhile, in a statement, the Ministry of Health said that Labuan and Perlis recorded the lowest amount of cases in the country with six and eight cases respectively. – MalaysiaGazette
