KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 deaths in the country continued to record an increment with 60 deaths being reported today.
The addition shifted the Covid-19 death tally to 4,202 cases, said the Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said, the cases admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is also high, with 909 cases where 441 required respiratory support.
“However, the cases that recovered from Covid-19 infection also increased with 7,530 recoveries. The cumulative number of patients who recovered is 608,465,” he said in a statement today.
Dr Noor Hisham said, the Ministry of Health (MOH) recorder 66,097 cases of active cases in the country.
Earlier, he announced that 5,738 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the country nationwide.
From that amount, 5,735 were local infections, meanwhile, three cases were imported. –MalaysiaGazette
