KUALA LUMPUR – Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the hardcore poor households will be receiving the RM500 Special Covid-19 Aid (BKC) in August and November and RM300 in December.
Whereas, the singles from the harcore poor category will receive RM200 in August and RM300 in November, he said during the announcement of the RM150 billion Pakej Perlindungan Rakyat dan Pemulihan Ekonomi (Pemulih) package.
The people’s protection and economic recovery package encompasses a direct fiscal injection from the government amounting to RM10 billion.
According to the Prime Minister, B40 households will be receiving RM500 in August and RM300 in December, meanwhile, the singles in this category will be receiving RM200 of aid in August.
Besides that, the M40 households will also be enjoying an aid amounting to RM250 while the M40 singles will receive RM100 in August.
He said, the Special BKC aid is projected to benefit over 11 million households, senior citizens and single individuals with an allocation of RM4.6 billion.
In October, the government will channel RM500 to employees who lost their income based on EPF or PERKESO’s data this year.
The aid is expected to benefit up to 1 million members involving RM500 million of funds. –MalaysiaGazette
