KUALA LUMPUR – The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in 34 sub-districts of Selangor will not be extended, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said, the decision was during the National Security Council (MKN) meeting based on the current situation.
For the record, the government has decided to implement the EMCO on eight districts in Selangor involving 34 sub-districts beginning 3 July.
At the same time, Ismail said, the MKN special sitting has agreed to implement the EMCO on 13 localities in Kuantan from 18 July until 31 July.
The localities involved are Tanjung Lumpur, Peramu, Anak Air, Sg Derhaka, Kempadang, Sg Soi, Kg Pahang, Taman Seri Inderapura, Taman Indera Sempurna, Taman Tas & Pandan, Sungai Isap, Lorong Seri Teruntum and Taman Impianku.
Besides that three localities in Sarawak namely, Kampung Seratau, Kampung Astana Lot and Kampung Sungai Bedil Besar will also be put on EMCO during the similar period.
In Selangor, the EMCO will be imposed on Damai Apartment in Petaling Jaya, Jalan Pandan Indah in Hulu Langat, Jalan Batu Nilam in Klang and Taman Samudera in Gombak.
Meanwhile in Sabah, KLK Lungmanis Palm Oil Estate, Lahad Datu Factories Accommodation and Kampung Pinolobuh Bukit in Kota Belud will also be put under EMCO.
“EMCO will also be imposed on Taman Chengal, Temerloh,” said Ismail.
Meanwhile, the EMCO on Kampung Siasai Dundau in Kota Belud and Kampung Naruntung in Pitas, Sabah will be extended until 31 July 2021. –MalaysiaGazette
