KUALA LUMPUR – Independent Islamic preacher, Ustaz Ebit Lew questioned the whereabouts of RM20 million contributed by Malaysians to the people in Gaza through Persatuan Cinta Gaza Malaysia.
In a live feed today, Ebit requested the President of the association, Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri Kamaruzaman who is better known as Nadir Al Nuri to explain about how the donations were distributed to the people in Gaza as it involves a huge amount of money.
“He requested donations for Gaza. But, I went to Gaza using my own money and I did not open donation drive for Gaza.
“I have several very close friends and Facebook friends who contributed to the mission but they refused to be named. They are sincere in helping,” he said in his Instagram Live.
Ebit also said that many people have scorned him, calling him names and it hurt his family members.
“I don’t mind if it’s just me, that is normal. But I am sad when it involves my wife, children and other family members.
“I am used to being accused and labelled with many things… it’s hard for me to say but I will say it here today, among them include pig, religion rider, dajjal, satan and others.
“When my family asked me about those allegations and there were affected too… that is why I come forward today,” he said.
Ebit also answered the allegations thrown to him by rapper, Caprice in the 1 hour 31 minute live broadcast.
“I have never made any live video mentioning names but what they did to me is too much.
“I forgive them but those accusations are baseless. I have all evidences and I have handed over them to the relevant quarters.
“Usually, those who accuse need to provide the evidence but that’s alright,” he added.
According to him, Nadir needs to answer the question on the RM20 million contribution as that is a hefty amount.
“He mentioned in live video about the RM500,000 donation that he alleged as very little. That is huge to me.
“I want to return the question to him, where did the RM20 million donation go to? Are there receipts? Are there evidences?” he questioned.
Furthermore, Ebit also answered allegations about the purchase of items for the humanity mission in Kaherah as, according to Nadir Al Nuri, they can be bought in Gaza too.
“Some items are available in Gaza but they are expensive. Some items are not available and we have to wait for six months. So, when we were in Kaherah, we bought everything we need and why didn’t we use Nadir’s service? That’s because the quotation given by Nadir was very high, around $40 dollar when other people are offering us at $20 dollar for the same food box.
“Actually, that question should not be raised because the only NGO allowed there is the Egyptian Red Crescent Society,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
