Covid-19: 17,405 cases, highest daily record

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia continued to record another new high with 17,405 Covid-19 positive cases today.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 1,061,476 caes.

Selangor is still the largest contributor of the national’s cases and the state recorded 7,171 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 2,880 cases and Kedah (1,112).

It is followed by Sabah (913), Negeri Sembilan (863), Johor (767), Penang (760), Kelantan (532) and Melaka (531).

490 cases were recorded in Terengganu, Sarawak (464), Pahang (429) and Perak (406).

Three states recorded less than 100 cases namely, Putrajaya (68), Labuan (16) and Perlis (3 kes), he said in a statement today. –MalaysiaGazette
