KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Industry (KPDNHEP) reminded all business owners to ensure that their customers are fully vaccinated with two doses of vaccine (Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac) by showing their digital Covid-19 vaccination certification.
They must also ensure that their customers have passed the 14th day from their second dose shot and those taking one-dose vaccines such as Johnson&Johnson and CanSino must exceed their 28th day from their shot.
In a statement today, KPDNHEP also said that all companies under the trade and distribution sectors allowed to operate again need to provide the vaccination information of their staff.
Trade and distribution sub-sectors in states under Phase 2 of PPN (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Penang and Sabah) can operate again without reaching the 50% full vaccination rate for adults in the state. However, the business owners need to make an application to operate through the Centralised Information Management System (CIMS) at https://notification.miti.gov.my/login.
Nevertheless, industry players and business owners may operate without waiting for KPDNHEP’s approval but all proofs of application through CIMS must be kept as reference and evidence when required.
On 15 August, Caretaker Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the leniency for 22 business and distribution sub-sectors to reopen with effect from 16 August 2021, under the condition of the vaccination rate of adult population in the state reaches at least 50%. At the same time, the customers must also be fully vaccinated in order to visit those business premises. –MalaysiaGazette
