Man found dead for over four days at home

KAJANG – The puzzle to the bad stench coming from a locked house is finally answered today.

The Kajang Fire and Rescue Department received a report on the stench at around 9.19 am today. It’s Operation Commander, Mohd Jaslizad Jalil said, a fire engine and a four-wheeled drive were rushed to the address at City Heights Apartment, Jalan Sungai Chua, Kajang, based on the report.

“We arrived at the location at 9.24am along with the police and medical officer from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

“Upon reaching the location, we inspected the house and found that it was locked from the outside.

“The Fire and Rescue team sawed off the door with an electric saw before entering the house and the PDRM inspected the house.

“Investigation found that the 41 year-old victim is believed to have died for more than four days at his living room while sitting and leaning on his couch,” he said in a statement.

The body had bloated and started to produce fluid.

The Fire and Rescue team was assisted by the police and MOH as they carried the dead body out of the house before handing the case over to the police for investigation and post-mortem at the hospital. –MalaysiaGazette
