KUALA LUMPUR – The Cabinet needs to act fast and integrate their actions in freeing Malaysia from Covid-19 threat, economy recession and political turmoil.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob while announcing his Cabinet list said that the new Cabinet is a management team that would work with the people.
“Therefore, the Cabinet is reformed based on the current situation to maintain stability and it places the interest and safety of Keluarga Malaysia above all things.
“I admit that we are in a crucial situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, economy recession and it is made worse with the instability of national politics,” he said.
According to Ismail Sabri, the government will strengthen the Healthy Malaysia National Agenda (ANMS) in educating Keluarga Malaysia to live with the virus that has now emerged in various variants.
He said that he would ensure his Cabinet is committed in making the national agenda a success, through cross-party collaboration to drive economic recovery for the welfare of the people.
He added, the Cabinet is chosen from those with experience and have the ability to help the country heal its economy by supporting entrepreneurs, facilitate businesses, enliven the economic activities and to increase confidence among investors.
To face various current challenges, the Cabinet need to be result oriented based on three principles namely, to be sensitive with current needs, responsible and return the faith of the people.
“Truly, this Cabinet would also take a new approach of being more open by embracing the Keluarga Malaysia aspiration through a more efficient delivery of service and information.
“I hope that the Cabinet appointment will give new confident to the country to rise and unite in fighting Covid-19 and free Keluarga Malaysia from the hardship of the pandemic,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
