“Those involved will be given a reminder and warning to always ensure the safety and comfort of the patients. Such undesirable incidences should not happen again,” His Royal Highness decreed in a tweet last night after a netizen shared the report of the incident of a woman giving birth alone in HSI.

Yesterday, JKNJ promised to conduct a thorough investigation that happened in HSI last month.

Johor State Health Director, Datuk Dr Aman Rabu said, generally, the complaint was valid and actions will be taken.

The incident went viral in the social media two days ago after a woman alleged in her Facebook post that she had to deliver her baby alone in the isolation room for pregnant women tested positive for Covid-19 at HSI after her call for assistance was ignored by the hospital staff.

The woman uploaded the status on her Facebook on 31 July, however, it only went viral two days ago.
