Guan Eng appointed as Parliament Select Committee member replacing Hamzah

The Member of Parliament of Bagan, Lim Guan Eng has been appointed as the Select Committee member for the 14th Parliament.

KUALA LUMPUR – The Member of Parliament of Bagan, Lim Guan Eng has been appointed as the Select Committee member for the 14th Parliament.

His appointment was passed by the Dewan Rakyat with a majority vote today, as the motion was read the Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law), Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

The Secretary-General of DAP would replace Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin in the Select Committee.

Guan Eng will be joining five other Select Committees including Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali; Senior Minister of Works, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof; Member of Parliament (MP) of Bagan Datuk, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi; Marang MP, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and Port Dickson MP and Opposition Chief, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
